Career Booster (“we”) offers LinkedIn and CV services through this website. This page explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to delete it.
What we collect
- What you tell us in the forms on this website: your name, your email address, your LinkedIn profile link, your career goals and your answers to our questions.
- Files you send: your LinkedIn PDF, screenshots of your LinkedIn activity, and your resume or CV.
- What you write to us on your private request page, including your check-in answers (news such as a new role or a certification).
- For a 1:1 Career Call: the time you booked and your time zone.
- If you have an account: the email addresses on it; your password, if you set one, stored only as a scrambled hash that can't be turned back into the password; and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the account identifier, name and email they share with us (Apple's can be a private relay address). A cookie keeps you signed in on that device for 30 days; it does nothing else.
- For paid services: what you ordered and whether it's paid. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- If you use the chat on our website: what you write in it, the page you were on, and, if you ask for a person, your email address. Please don't share passwords, card details or other sensitive information in the chat.
- To stop abuse of the website forms, we briefly keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your connection's IP address for one hour.
How we use it
- To prepare your free assessment and deliver the services you request.
- To keep you posted by email and on your request page, and to send the reminders and check-ins that belong to your service.
- We use AI (Anthropic's Claude, and Google's Gemini as a backup) to prepare your report, profile, CV, plan or posts from what you sent. The free assessment report is sent to you without a person's check, unless our automatic checks flag it. For paid services, a person on our team checks and approves every draft before you receive it.
We never sell your information and we don't use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Only our team. We share information with the services we rely on, only as needed to do the work:
- Hostinger, which hosts this website and our team dashboard, and sends our emails.
- Anthropic, whose AI assistant (Claude) drafts our work, and Google, whose AI (Gemini) answers the website chat and is a backup for the free assessment. We use their paid business services, which don't train their models on your data.
- Stripe, for card payments.
- Google or Apple, only if you choose to sign in with them.
- Google, for our team's calendar: a booked Career Call appears there with your name, email and what you want from the call.
Where it's kept
Your answers, files and messages are kept on our web host in a private folder that isn't publicly reachable. Your request page is private too: only someone with its link (which we email to you) can open it, so keep that link to yourself.
Drafts for paid services are written by AI on our web host and wait on our private team dashboard until a person approves them. For the free assessment, our web host sends your answers and files to Anthropic or Google to prepare the report, and keeps the report with your request.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you use our services, so you can come back for a re-assessment, a follow-up or your check-ins. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Website chat conversations are deleted automatically after 30 days. If you asked for a person, the conversation is also emailed to our support inbox so we can answer you.
Deleting your data
Email support@thecareerbooster.com from the address you used with us and ask us to delete your data. We delete your assessments, answers, files, messages and requests, and confirm by email within 7 days.
Payment records that Stripe must keep for tax and legal reasons stay with Stripe.
